PC Free Browsing on Glo Nigeria with Proximitron

Shortlink:

I actually saw this on our web forum over a month ago and I’ve been using it ever since. Proximitron works with Glo Nigeria totally free with the glosecure access point. The previous post I made on using Your Freedom client software with glo still works but I decided to share this with you as well. There’s no special configuration needed, you only need to download the privoxy below. It comes with customized settings so you won’t need to do anything at all.

Download Proximitron for glo.zip

After downloading the file, unzip the content and run proximitron.exe

You should note that this only works with Opera browser. I believe you already have this installed, right? Well, if you don’t, you should download it from the official site and install it.

- Run Opera

- Go to Menu > Settings > Preferences

- Go to Advanced > Network > Proxy servers

- Set it as shown below:

glo free browsing on proximitron

- Proximitron needs absolutely no settings. Just run it and set your opera as shown above.

- You must also enable Opera Turbo before it can work.

It works better at night but it also works better if you’re in a 3G coverage area. You should also note that it doesn’t access secure sites. If you’re having problems with it, you can either drop a  comment below or visit our web forum.
